Le Champ du Moulin mountain campsite in Isère is located in a stunning natural and tourist surrounding in the heart of Oisans region, at the edge of the Ecrins National Park, at the beginning of Les 2 Alpes ski resort, at the entrance of the Vénéon valley, and 12 km from the Alpe d'Huez ascent.
A unique location to enjoy a wide range of summer activities and sports.
Hiking
Short and easy walks, sports and mountain hikes, hikes to have fun or to discover the stunning heritage... many possibilities from the campsite :
the Venosc discovery trails, the waterfall and the refuge of Muzelle, the Lauvitellake ...
There are many routes to the highest summits if you go up the Vénéon valley or in the heart of the Ecrins national park.
Mountaineering/Alpinism
The Vénéon valley is a mountaineering mecca, rock climbing, glacier travel ... for beginners to expert climbers.
Venosc and the campsite are the starting point to go to the Petite Muraillette and the Roche de la Muzelle.
La Bérarde is the starting point for some of the finest climbs in the Massif des Ecrins.
Cycling Tourism
Alpe de d'Huez ascent and mythical Oisans passes
The Bourg d'Oisans region is the world capital of mountain biking ; from spring, clubs, professionals and amateurs of “la Petite Reine” come on valley roads.
Numerous international events (Critérium du Dauphiné Libéré, l'Alpe d'Huzes, La Marmotte). Mountain roads for cycling, towards the cols d'Ornon, du Lautaret, du Glandon, etc.
Every Tuesday morning in July and August, the department of Isère closes a mountain road only for cycling.
MTB
From Venosc/Les 2 Alpes cable car, located 5 minutes walking from the campsite, you will find the Diable/Venosc ski-slope with many turns, tables and bumps ( 1500m difference in high between the ski resort and the village ).
Access to the ski resort Bike-Park and to the glacier for an incredible downhill run to Venosc village ( 2600m vertical drop ).
Open in July and August.
Just outside the campsite, the loop "les rives du Vénéon" offers mountain bike rides to discover the lower Vénéon valley and the Bourg d'Oisans plain.

Trail
Venosc and les 2 Alpes is one of the 3 trail starting point in Oisans region and has 3 trail itineraries starting from the ski resort (Tour du Pied Moutet, La Brèche au grand creux, Les Balcons des 2 Alpes).
From Venosc cable car (5mn walking from the campsite), from the KMV 600 you can reach the ski resort (620m of vertical drop) by a marked trail.

Via Ferrata and climbing
After 45 minutes walking from the campsite you reach the via ferrata des Perrons overlooking the valley and the Venosc and La Muzelle peaks.
10 minutes driving to reach the Saint-Christophe en Oisans via ferrata.
About twenty slab routes on the climbing site of Les Etroits ( from 3 to 6b ).
You will find lots of climbing schools and many routes on Oisans mountains.
Saint-Christophe en Oisans routes are among the most beautiful and famous (the Dibona, ...). Topos available at the campsite.
Paragliding
Les 2 Alpes paragliding schools offer first flights and discovery flights with state-qualified instructors.
You take the cable car to reach the take-off point and you will land softly at Venosc village, a stone's throw from the campsite.
White water
Venosc white water center (2mn walking from the campsite) and Saint-Christophe en Oisans rafting offer funny outings in Vénéon waters.

Fishing
Enjoy mountain fishing, rainbow trout and fario trout fishing in the Vénéon river or in the high altitude Lauvitel lake.

The leisure centre is situated 1 mn walking from the campsite; volleyball court, swings, ...
Free entrance all year round.
2 tennis courts available for free from September to June, Fee-paying in July and August.

Summer skiing
The dome de la Lauze glacier guarantees snow cover all year round , Les 2 Alpes ski resort is open every morning in summer (end of June to end of August).
LA VOIE VERTE : the french green and ecologic road
Start directly from the campsite, The Voie verte de l’Oisans is the best way to ride to Bourg d’Oisans or further by cycling, running, riding a horse.
Only 12 km to go to Le Bourg d’Oisans to join the rise of Alpe d’Huez or do some shopping ;
23 km to go to Allemont and Verney dam discovering Oisans plain in a panoramic view over mountains.
